First Day Jitters

My oldest cub went back to school today.  She did great but I was a jittery mess sitting in a puddle of tears and specialty chocolate wrappers.  So I pulled myself together and kept busy by sharpening myself a bouquet of pencils and baking to keep from missing her too badly.  She took some to her teacher the next day.  I'm teaching her to brown nose right!

Teddy Bears

We had our annual Teddy Bear Picnic today. The cubs invited all their new little friends and we had a great time playing with our buddies and teddies.  The cubs wanted polar bear cubcakes this year and I think they turned out pretty darn cute!

Baseball

God bless America.  God bless baseball.  God bless Red Vines.  And God bless babies being born so I get to make little baseball cupcakes.

Bribery

We spent the evening delivering these pretty ruffly lemon cupcakes to all of our neighbors and bribing them to like us.  I hope it worked!

I think we're going to be just fine here...

We discovered a little slice of heaven near our new home.  A community of more than 40 farms that all love to U-pick!  We went strawberry picking today and let me tell you, the strawberries taste like candy!  We picked enough to make some delicious jam to fill these fresh strawberries and cream cupcakes.  Incredible.

New Kitchen, New Cupcakes

Guys, I am in love with my new kitchen.  50 cupcakes didn't even make a dent in the counter space!

In honor of the new space, we invented a new cupcake.  We came up with a dark chocolate cupcake, filled with salted caramel and topped with a big ol' caramel chocolate ganache flower.  Dark, dense and delicious!
